Milan Luthria, earlier talking about box-office numbers, had stated, "No, I do not feel the pressure of that, but yes like many filmmakers, even I want my film to get good numbers at the box office. I think our Indian audience have equated Rs 100 crore as a century of a cricketer. No matter how many times you have scored 99 runs, if you have not done 100s, you are not a successful player. It’s sad. Honestly, personally, I am dead against it."
Talking about the ensemble cast, the director had said, "Emraan Hashmi was perfect as the crook, who can’t be trusted yet is an extremely resourceful guy; Ileana D’Cruz as the princess who is a misfit and wants to explore the world; Esha [Gupta] as the sexy and tough girl; Vidyut [Jammwal] as an Army guy with the best physique in town, someone who could take on Ajay’s and Emraan’s characters; and Sanjay Mishra as the old, wise guy who has seen the world."
