After Saif And Salman, SRK's ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ Faces Pakistan Censor Board's Ire

What does Pakistan's censor board have against the Khans? First, Saif's Agent Vinod was refused clearance for screening in Pakistan. Next in the line of fire was Salman's Ek Tha Tiger. Now, Shahrukh Khan's Jab Tak Hai Jaan is set to be denied permission and is unlikely to be shown in Pakistan.

Zee News reports that the Censor Board was offended by the fact that SRK's character plays a member of an Indian Army bomb disposal squad stationed in Kashmir.

Both nations have been prickly about the state of Jammu & Kashmir. However, banning a movie for such a flimsy reason is certainly unprecedented. Promos indicate that the movie focuses on romance and is unlikely to focus on political-military issues. Why such a harsh decision then?

Sadly, Yash Chopra's Pakistan fans may be robbed of the opportunity of seeing their favourite director's last movie.
