For those who have been waiting impatiently for the winter to come, well, it has finally come, it seems! However, for the loyal fans, the episode might be a little underwhelming!

*Spoilers Alert*

The premiere episode of Game of Thrones Season 7 took it forward from where it left. Starting with Arya Stark [Maisie Williams] taking revenge of the Red Wedding from the Freys, the episode captured the moves of each house as they race ahead of time to defeat the dead!

Last season, we saw John Snow [Kit Harington] being pronounced as The King Of The North. The first episode establishes his relationship with Sansa Stark [Sophie Turner] predominantly. Sansa is no more the weakling, her encounter with Cersei [Lena Headey] has taught her a lot about politics. Their conversations are a delight to watch, indeed!

Amidst all the adversities, the only Lannisters to survive are Cersei and Jaime. With their children dead, Cersei's only mission to rule the seven kingdoms. This is where Jamie [Nikolaj Coster-Waldau] reminds her that this isn't a cakewalk and that they need good allies in order to win. Cersei has her cards in place, but is it enough?

The plight of Samwell Tarly [John Bradley-West] give us some humorous moments as well. His quest to be heard, his story of the White Walkers, his fight with the dead and killing them with the dragonglass. The Archmaester statement, "Every winter that ever came has ended." does hint at the actions more to come. He finally finds a clue. But let's leave it there.

Ed Sheeran's cameo is a delight to watch too. His scenes with Arya is a sight to behold but it hardly establishes anything.

However, it is Daenerys Targaryen [Emilia Clarke] who makes a stylish entry at the end, setting the table rolling.

Shall we begin?

The premise is set, there's a lot of action to unfold, all we need to do is brace ourselves for the dead is coming!

Talking about the characters, each one has done a phenomenal job. Composer Ramin Djawadi, cinematographer Gregory Middleton, and director Jeremy Podeswa have made sure to make it a rich experience for fans.
