Baahubali 2: S.S. Rajamouli's epic period drama created a history of sorts at the box office with its massive collections. The movie had a record-breaking run at the box office and collected over INR 1600 crore all over India, rewriting history! The Hindi version of the movie was distributed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and it released on April 28, 2017.

Raees: The Shah Rukh Khan and Mahira Khan starrer was in the news for both the right and wrong reasons. The movie, which was directed by Rahul Dholakia was made at a budget of INR 92 crore including the P & A. It earned INR 275 crore worldwide with INR 175 crore coming from India. It has been the highest grosser of 2017, till date.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania: Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt's film won hearts of both the audience and critics alike. The film, which is a second part in the Dulhania franchise, was made at a budget of INR 35 crore. Till date, the film has collected INR 109 crore nett at the box office, and has crossed the INR 200 crore mark in terms of worldwide collections. The Shashank Khaitan directed affair is the second highest grosser of 2017.

Jolly LLB 2: A sequel to the 2013 film Jolly LLB, the movie was made at a budget of INR 45 crore. The Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi starrer went on to collect INR 197 crore worldwide, with the film making almost INR 109 crore in India. It is the third highest grosser of 2017.

Kaabil: Despite clashing with Shah Rukh Khan's Raees, this Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam starrer managed to perform well at the box office. The film, that was made at a budget of INR 35 crore, went on to make INR 103 crore at the box office.

Hindi Medium: The Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar starrer won rave reviews from the critics and the audience when it released on May 19, 2017. Despite a clash with a film like Half Girlfriend, the movie minted money at the BO. The worldwide collections of the movie stands at INR 102 crore.
