Baahubali 2 to Dangal: 5 Indian films that Hollywood filmmakers should consider remaking
How about Hollywood remaking Indian films like Baahubali 2?
Indian filmmakers have been time and again accused that they have been copying themes and plot-lines from Hollywood films. But, it's not that our filmmakers can not give competition and make their name in the global market. Currently, SS Rajamouli's Baahubali has been breaking barriers worldwide and getting India a global recognition in terms of creative ability and filmmaking.
On these lines, we decided to make a list of the films which Hollywood should consider remaking.
Baahubali 2
SS Rajamouli's imagination has conquered everyone's heart and the tale of two brothers - Baahubali and Bhallala Deva has been portrayed perfectly on the silver screen. The story revolved around the mystery of why Kattappa killed Baahubali? Hollywood should take an inspiration from Baahubali and if ever happen to make the film, Chris Hemsworth should play the role of Baahubali. Dwayne Johnson could step into the shoes of Bhallala Deva. How about Morgan Freeman getting into the character of Kattappa?
Dangal
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal traces the journey of Mahavir Phogat and his daughters Geeta and Babita. Dangal also spelt its magic on the worldwide platform. Considering its huge numbers at the Chinese box office standalone, Hollywood filmmakers should make a film on the lines of Dangal. Hugh Jackman is a perfect fit for the role which Aamir Khan played to perfection.
3 Idiots
There is no doubt that Rajkumar Hirani's '3 Idiots was a classic. The film saw Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan playing the lead roles and their brilliant performances touched many a hearts. The Aamir Khan starrer has already been remade in Spanish in Mexico. How about a remake which stars Johnny Depp as Aamir Khan, Dev Patel as R Madhavan and Christian Bale playing the role of Raju aka Sharman Joshi? What do you have to say about this?
Veer Zaara
A tale of two lovers who were seen battling the issues between their countries - Pakistan and India - created wonders. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta in the lead roles. If Hollywood ever plans to make a remake, they should have Notebook's Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams and the plot could be on the lines of issues between the US and Russia.
Jolly LLB 2
Jolly LLB 2 is a sarcastic take on the condition of the law in our country and how cases are handled. The film also showcased the loopholes of our constitution in terms of decision making. How about a Hollywood based on the fact wherein you get to see shortcomings of the law and order in the US. Jim Carrey fits the bill for playing the role of Akshay Kumar and Zach Galifianakis can be seen as the judge getting into the shoes of Saurabh Shukla. Won't it be interesting?
