Legendary actor Vinod Khanna passed away this morning in Mumbai at the age of 70. The actor was reportedly suffering from cancer and breathed his last in Mumbai's Hurkisondas hospital where he was admitted earlier this month.

The year was 1968 when Vinod Khanna made his Bollywood debut and went on to star in more than 100 films in his career spanning over five decades. In his initial years, the actor was seen doing small second lead or negative roles. However, it was his performance in Mere Apne as the angry young man that was his claim to stardom. After that, there was no looking back for the veteran actor. Vinod Ji then featured in many popular films like Mann Ka Meet, Mere Apne, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Imtihaan, Inkaar, Amar Akbar Anthony, Lahu Ke Do Rang, Qurbani, Dayavaan and Jurm among others.

Khanna with his intense gaze and cute smile soon became the heartthrob of Bollywood. Hailed as one of the most handsome actors, Khanna's death has definitely left a void which is impossible to fill. His charm and camaraderie with his co-stars are irreplaceable.
