Koffee With Karan 5: From Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Deepika Padukone; celebrities we wish were on Karan Johar's couch

Another season of Koffee with Karan is over and with it, many controversies were stirred, sipped and enjoyed, Whether it be Kangana Ranaut's now-iconic "Flagbearer of Nepotism" comment for Karan Johar or the very fact that Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor graced KJo's couch together. 

The couch was filled with plenty of gossip but what was missing were a few famous personalities who were trending topics of 2016. Whether it be Hrithik Roshan for his never ending saga with Kangana or even Karan's ex-bestie Kajol who had such a big fallout with the filmmaker, it was even written about in his book. 

Here is our list of celebrities who should have graced Karan's couch:

1. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stunned all in her sexy avatar as Saba in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Her chemistry with Ranbir Kapoor was the talk of the town and we were hoping to see the actress as a part of Karan's show. But better luck next time!

2. Kajol and Ajay Devgn

Kajol and Karan Johar's friendship was supposed to be one for the ages with KJo considering her as his lucky charm. But things took an ugly turn when Karan's movie ADHM clashed with Kajol's husband and actor Ajay Devgn's movie Shivaay. Allegations were made against Karan thanks to Kamaal R Khan and now the friends have unfortunately turned into foes. 

Kajol was one of the actors who hasn't missed a season of KWK and we would have loved to see her and Ajay on Karan's couch but looks like that will not be happening anytime soon. 

3. Hrithik Roshan

2015 was the year of Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut's major public fallout that is relevant even today. Koffee With Karan would have been the perfect public platform for Hrithik to talk freely about the incident. However, Hrithik did not make it to KWK 5. It surely would have been a must-watch episode. 

4. Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan

Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan's fan following in India was at another level. While Fawad had impressed all in Kapoor & Sons, Mahira was given the big debut with Shah Rukh Khan in Raees. Fawad also had a guest appearance in ADHM. Everything was alright until the Uri Attacks took place and a ban on Pakistani artists in Indian movies was set. How we wish the Humsafar duo could have made it to the couch and spilled the beans on their life and movies. 

5. Deepika Padukone and Vin Diesel

Rumours were rife that Deepika Padukone would be coming on KWK with Vin Diesel but such was not the case. By the start of 2017, Deepika had gone all out to promote her Hollywood debut movie xXx: The Return of Xander Cage and had also got along Vin Diesel to India. One was hoping to see the duo chatting away with Karan where Deepika could talk at large about her movie and working with Vin but that did not happen. 

6. Sushant Singh Rajput

Sushant Singh Rajput had a fabulous 2016 professionally with M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story which garnered him a ton of critical acclaim and was even a hit at the box-office. His personal life was also the talk of the town as he spilt with Ankita Lokhande after several years of dating and is constantly linked with his Raabta co-star Kriti Sanon. How we would have loved to see SSR's debut on the couch. 

7. Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan is living proof that age is just a number. His performance in Pink garnered him critical acclaim as well as accolades and he is always a delight when he graces Karan's couch. It would have been amazing to see him interact with Karan and talk about his life, family and movies. 

8. Shraddha Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar

Shraddha Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar starred in Rock On 2 and although the movie performed poorly at the box-office, their reported affair has everyone talking. Add to that there was Farhan's separation with wife Adhuna. Seeing these two on Karan's couch would have made for an interesting episode. 

9. Sonakshi Sinha

Sonakshi Sinha's recent physical transformation was evidently seen in 2016 and her new look has been appreciated by all. Then there is also her rumoured relationship with Bunty Sajdeh. Hence, we would have loved to see Karan getting Sona to spill the beans on her personal life, in true KJo style. 

10. Sunny Leone

Sunny Leone was the talk of the town this year for her mesmerising and sexy dance performance in Laila Main Laila which was a part of Shah Rukh Khan's Raees. Sunny surely should have made her Koffee debut on the show.
