Anil Kapoor was born on 24th December 1956 Mumbai, Maharashtra state. He studied at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour High School – Chembur and St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. Anil entered Bollywood with Hamare Tumhare in 1979 in a very small role. His film debut in a lead role was in 1980 with Vamsa Vruksham. The Kapoor lad gained popularity after his successful film Mashaal in 1984 co-starring Dilip Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, Rati Agnihotri, Gulshan Grover and Alok Nath, for which he earned his first Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor.
