Koffee With Karan! Here's how Akshay and Twinkle had hilarious and candid fun on the show

The second episode of Koffee With Karan season 5 aired today. For the very first time, we saw the real-life couple Akshay Kumar and wife Twinkle Khanna together on the couch. As we all know Tina as she is fondly called has an incredible sense of humour and she was at her hilarious best today. Akshay was equally funny and both left no stone unturned in teasing the host Karan Johar in a tongue-tied situation.

Karan asked them about their love story, how it led to the marriage and also controversies that happened around them. The episode has best highlights which made it entirely a very interesting one to watch.

Controversy which led to Twinkle's arrest

The episode started with Twinkle talking about how she got arrested. This was an infamous incident which happened for the couple. Akshay, who was once walking the ramp for a brand, made his wife to unbutton his pants. This led to a bad controversy and many activists protested and an arrest warrant was pulled out against Tina. Akshay even said, for god sake, she is my wife and she opened only the top button. She further added, that the case is still on and only she is in the case as she did the action. As they both hired the same lawyer and he said only one can be saved. So, the lawyer filed a petition, saying my client (Akshay) was standing there and this woman assaulted him. 

Karan-Twinkle: Ek Chotisi Love Story!

It's a known fact and KJo has always proclaimed that Twinkle is his first love. Tina talked about the incident when they were 12-year-olds and were studying in the same boarding school. Karan went into depression as he was not ready to be away from his parents and study in a boarding school. So, Twinkle helped him escape from the school and it is truly a hilarious story to remember for both of them.

Akshay is gay!

Both Akki and Tina's love story is a filmy in itself. Tina revealed that she was just trying to have a fling with Akshay but ended up falling in love with him. Later on, Akshay proposed marriage to her and she said she will marry him on one condition, that is, if her movie Mela flops. Fate was in his hand and Mela didn't work well at the box-office, so Tina decided to tie the knot with him. But, the funny thing happened when both Twinkle and Akshay went to her mother Dimple Kapadia to talk about their marriage plans. Dimple was a bit skeptical to get her daughter married to Akshay as she read from some friend who is doing a newspaper revealed to her saying that Akshay is gay. And, this whole conversation of Tina and Dimple took place, when Akki was sitting right in front of them doing Acupressure.

The Romantic Dance 

In this episode of KWK 5, one of the most romantic moment took place. Akshay, who is an amateur singer sang the couple's favourite song Strangers at Nights live. He was joined by Raghav Sachar, who was playing the trumpet giving it a ball dance feel. Akki and Tina even had a short romantic dance, and the stunning beauty was totally overwhelmed with the surprise. The best part was Akshay and Karan broke into a ball dance together and it was surely an aww moment. After the performance, Karan said to Akshay, "I love you Akshay and I am sad I didn't get to marry you." How Sweet!

Original casting of Tina in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

When Karan wrote Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Twinkle was always his first choice to play the role of Tina. He was shocked and heartbroken when she declined the role. Later on, Rani Mukerji was taken on board and the movie made her a star overnight. Twinkle even went on to say, "I made Rani Mukerji's career."

A piping hot Rapid Fire

The rapid fire had lots of fire and the couple put their best foot forward in it. Twinkle talked about how her husband has some extra inches, which other Khans (SRK, Salman and Aamir) doesn't have. When Karan asked her which is the meanest thing she has heard about her writing. To which she said, "Karan Johar is the new Mrs Funnybones. I didn't want my standards to go down." She chose SRK over Salman, as Salman is everyone's Bhai. Coming to Akshay, when he was asked, what would he do if he woke up as Salman, Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha, he said, "I would get married!" Akshay revealed that Sridevi is his first and favourite crush. He even gave an interesting statement that, If SRK, Salman and Aamir stop smoking, they will last long, or else he will in Bollywood.

Cool parents of cool children

Both of them talked about their children Aarav and Nitara for the first time. Twinkle said, "Aarav and Akshay are friends and they work out together. They are both diplomatic. Aarav and I talk about drugs, sex etc. Because when the time comes, I hope he picks me because I have not kept any walls." While Akshay stated, their four-year-old Nitara is like Twinkle, she is curious and has questions to ask.
