Recently, Emraan Hashmi was in the news as he turned down a rom-com opposite cousin Alia Bhatt because he found the idea weird! In the past, Kareena Kapoor had stated that she felt like she is losing out on working with Ranbir Kapoor because he is her cousin. Interestingly, we have many talented cousins in B-Town who are terrific performers but say what may, due to their family connect, these cousins haven't been paired in films together. Here's decoding the reason behind these cousin-pairs who haven't starred in any films till date and the roles which will suit them best, together:

Kareena Kapoor-Ranbir Kapoor

Back in 2013, the popular chat show, Koffee with Karan's host Karan Johar pulled up a dream casting coup. He managed to bring the two most popular cousins of B-Town together - on celluloid - even though for a TV show. The Kapoors' not only looked stunning together, their chemistry, understanding, and compatibility certainly made us rake our heads - when will someone encash on these two powerhouses of talents, together?

Verdict: An intense, complexed story based on the brother-sister relationship

Sonam Kapoor-Ranveer Singh

While Ranveer is scaling new heights of success post-Bajirao Mastani, Sonam is on cloud nine after Neerja's release. The two compliment each other perfectly - both are fashion icons in their own domain. While RS is a stylist's favourite for pulling off a nightgown to Super Mario track suit, Sonam is a regular head turner at Cannes festival or at Ellie Saab's shows. With their vibrant personality, tongue-in-cheek statements they give and infectious energy - these two are a must-to-be-seen together pair.

Verdict: High on fashion, glamour and robust comedy film

Arjun Kapoor-Katrina Kaif

Before you go WTF, hold your horses! Katrina and Arjun are not related by blood, but Kat ties rakhi to Arjun, and hence he is her munh-bola bhai - all thanks to Salman Khan. Interestingly, Arjun has always expressed his desire to work with Katrina. Rumours have it, Kat was offered the lead role in Gunday, but she turned down the film opposite Arjun-Ranveer. Reportedly, since Katrina broke up with Ranbir Kapoor, the actress has had Arjun by her side to nurse her broken heart.

Verdict: Two good-looking actors in one frame will make perfect for an easy-breezy family drama

Emraan Hashmi-Alia Bhatt

Emraan has this aloof energy about him, while Alia is a house on fire. They two indeed make for an unusual pairing. It's not that we see the cousins bond on an everyday basis, but Emraan insists that Alia is n fine actress and he would like to work with her, so long as they could play siblings onscreen else otherwise, it would be twisted on another level!

The Raaz actor once even went on record to joke that he would hand down his ‘serial kisser’ tag only to Alia, as he would like it to stay in the family.

Verdict: A thriller for the two, with characters as different as day and night!

Arjun Kapoor-Sonam Kapoor

This is another good-looking couple from the Kapoor clan - Sonam and Arjun. These first cousins share a very close bond. On his part, Arjun confessed to Sonam being possessive about him, saying that he has to take Sonam’s aashirwad before he settles with any girlfriend or even befriends a girl! Sonam has also confessed how she used to take Arjun along on her dates, conveniently make him her protective, elder brother whenever she was in trouble.

Verdict: A typical Bollywood masala entertainer will do wonders! Jhakaas in blood...after all!
