The petite beauty Mira Rajput turns 23 today and her journey from being a young married girl to now a mom is nothing less than overwhelming.

Born and brought up in Delhi, Mira had no Bollywood connection until she married the industry hottie, Shahid Kapoor. Mira was only 21 when she married Shahid and had just completed her graduation from Delhi University’s Lady Shri Ram College.  

While she was a bit apprehensive about marrying the Haider star given the age gap and his star status, she met Shahid and the duo eventually fell in love.

The couple tied the knot on July 7, 2015, and was blessed with a baby girl on August 27 this year.

And in spite of coming from a non-filmy background, here’s why Mira became an instant favourite:

1.The girl-next-door vibes

In addition to the vibrance the pretty lady brings along, her girl-next-door charm is unmatched. 

2.The beautiful relationship Shahid-Mira share

Despite being an arranged marriage as against the popular opinion, the couple seems to be head over heels in love with each other. The strong bond and the equation the duo shares is totally reflected in the innumerable pictures the pair has with each other.

Coming from a non-Bollywood background, Mira seems to be a perfect fit in the industry. 

4.Her loving journey to motherhood

Mira has just foot in this phase and looks like the new parents are enjoying it to the core. Reportedly, the couple along with their bundle of joy is off to Amritsar to seek the blessings of their guru. While the couple has already thought of a name for their baby girl, the duo will only give out the name once their head of the sect approves it.
