There can be no denying that the glamorous world of Bollywood is synonymous with intense competition. We often hear reports of numerous stars being considered for the same role. Moreover, our beloved stars often compete with each other for awards.  However, despite its competitive nature, the Hindi film industry has over the years been home to some extremely heartwarming and genuine friendships.

Perhaps that is why the industry is often referred to as a fraternity. Today, on the occasion of Friendship Day, let us take a look at some stars who share a lovely rapport with each other and in turn give us major friendship goals.

Ranveer Singh-Arjun Kapoor: Ranveer and Arjun are undoubtedly two of the most popular young stars in the industry these days. Moreover, they make one wild and funky duo indeed. This became amply clear when they appeared on Koffee With Karan a few years back. The young stars pulled each other’s leg to the fullest and the chemistry between them was pretty crackling. Moreover, a few months back, they gave bromance a new meaning when they bonded during a screening of Ki and Ka.

Katrina Kaif-Kabir Khan: Katrina and Kabir have previously collaborated on three films. And these are Phantom, Ek Tha Tiger and New York. However, their association isn’t merely a professional one. Katrina considers Kabir to be a close friend. In fact, during a chat with fans, Kat revealed that Kabir is her best friend.

“Kabir Khan became my best friend right away because I had never met anyone before who was so happy to listen to me," she stated.

Ayan Mukerji-Ranbir Kapoor: It was nearly seven years back that Ayan made his directorial debut with Wake Up Sid. The critically-acclaimed film gave him an opportunity to work with Ranbir Kapoor. And, as luck would have it, this marked the beginning of a truly inspiring friendship. In fact, by his own admission, Ayan considers Ranbir to be an integral part of his life.

“I don't know what to say about him that would not sound mushy or patronising, but after my parents, he is one of the five most important people in my life. I had lots of good friends all my life, but no one whom I could have called my best friend,” Ayan said in an interview given to the Times of India.

Interestingly, if all goes as planned, Ranbir will soon be seen in the 33-year-old director’s highly ambitious superhero film.

Alia Bhatt-Katrina Kaif: We got strong proof of the budding friendship between Katrina and Alia when B-town’s resident ‘Chikni Chameli’ attended a special screening of Udta Punjab. At the event, the lovely ladies got along like a house on fire and posed for some lovely pics.

Preity Zinta-Sussanne Khan: The depth of this friendship can be judged by the fact that Sussanne was one of the few B-town celebs who attended Preity’s wedding in the US. Moreover, the two have often been seen chilling together. In fact, a couple of months back, they were seen enjoying a dinner date. As expected, Sussanne and Preity enjoyed each other’s company a lot.

Sidharth Malhotra-Nitya Mehra: Movie buffs got strong proof of this budding friendship when Sidharth and Nitya got along like a house on fire during the trailer launch of the eagerly-awaited Baar Baar Dekho. In this pic, the 31-year-old heartthrob is seen spending some fun-filled moments with the debutante director.

John Abraham-Varun Dhawan: John and Varun became good friends during the shoot of the recently released Dishoom. And we got strong proof of this friendship when the two handsome stars posed for some cool pics during the promotional campaigns of the film. Their pics definitely redefined the tenets of bromance.

Kriti Sanon-SSR: Kriti- SSR make one funky and lively duo indeed. The young stars—who will soon be seen opposite each other in Raabta—were recently spotted as they posed for some quirky pics. As expected, they seemed to be enjoying each other’s company a lot. Moreover, some time back, Kriti said she shares a special rapport  with SSR.

“There was something special, something you can’t describe in words. There was a connect, a spark, some chemistry between me and Sushant even though that was the first time we met,” she said in an interview given to PTI.

Jacqueline Fernandez-Sonam Kapoor:  The lovely ladies have often been seen chilling together. In fact, Sonam even attended a special screening of Jacqueline’s Dhisoom. At the screening, they were seen posing for some cute pics. Needless to say, the chemistry between them was pretty electrifying.
