It's been a year since one of the best films of Salman Khan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan has been released. The film touched everyone's hearts and people never skip watching the film when telecast on television. Director Kabir Khan knows how to strike a chord with the audiences. The film even received several awards at leading award shows. It went on to receive National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. Today, the film has completed one year and we decided to do a quick recap and decode, what made Bajrangi Bhaijaan so special.  Let us take a look at them in detail.

1. Munni (Harshaali Malhotra)

Oh well, she was the ultimate USP of the movie. Harshaali, who played the role of a mute Pakistani girl in the film charmed everyone with her cute and bubbly look. Her character gets lost in India and Salman who becomes a Messiah for her takes every possible risk of his life to get her back to her home. Her chemistry with Salman so adorable and palpable that people just kept on saying awww and sobbed when there was an emotional scene. Even after years of its release, people will never forget this cute princess in this film. Wasn't she your favourite?

2. Salman's Innocence

Salman played the role of Pawan who worshipped Hanuman. His character was very innocent and honest which at times landed him in trouble. But, that never stopped him from achieving his goal of making Munni meet her parents. Some sequences like he keeps on asking the names of the cities to Munni, when he finds out she is a Muslim girl and ultimately a Pakistani kid, the sequences between him and Nawazuddin Siddiqui is just too funny and cute. The film even showed Salman as a tough guy, when someone does anything wrong against Munni. Otherwise, he is just a simpleton. What say?

3. Nawazuddin Siddiqui

Nawaz played the role of a Pakistani journalist Chand Nawab. His entry is hilarious, where he spoofs the famous Chand Nawab video shot at a railway station in Pakistan. The other scene where Nawaz stole the show was when he fakes Salman in burkha his wife and Munni his daughter. He reaches a home and creates a scene of telling the old man to accept him after marriage. ROFL! Chand Nawab becomes of great help for Pawan as his viral video serves in helping everyone know about this honest and inspirational story of Pawan who becomes Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

4. The story throwing light on humanity.

The film showed a softer side between the two countries India and Pakistan. Nawaz's character who initially thinks Pawan is a spy goes to every extent to show the real truth of Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Om Puri's character who helps Pawan in finding the location of her house and even saves them from the cops. The sequence at the border, when Pawan is walking towards the border of India, all Pakistanis present their screams "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and shows their support for him.

5. Kabir Khan

The ultimate reason to love this film is the director Kabir Khan. He blended this movie with a complete package like outstanding star cast, melodious music - providing wholesome entertainment. He showed the simple story in a very innovative way. Kabir's film showed the positive side of India and Pakistan relationship with utmost sensitivity, taking care of the minutest details of the film without hurting anyone's sentiments. The film won awards at the Best Film categories at several award functions.
