Is Arijit Singh Right in Seeking a Public Apology from Salman Khan?
Singer Arijit Singh shocked everyone last night when he posted an open letter on his Facebook page, seeking an apology from superstar Salman Khan. Initially, no one knew the reason behind Arijit's desperate apology but later it was revealed that he had irked Khan back in 2014, when during an award show, he had taunted Salman on his hosting skills.
While all thought things had cooled down and everything was forgotten, one should never forget that Salman doesn't forgive people who rub him the wrong way, easily. If Arijit's letter is to be believed, then it seems, Khan has not included Singh's song Jagg Ghumeya Par Thaare Jaisa Koi Nahi in his upcoming movie Sultan.
As soon as the letter went viral on the social media, people started debating over the issue. But things went worse when Arijit deleted the post from his page and posted a small status saying "I hope he gets my letter through someway. Ps. This whole thing will backfire at me I know. Prayers."
However, the damage was done. Not only Salman fans but even the aam junta couldn't sympathize with Arijit. People felt, that if the open letter was a heartfelt apology, then what was the need for the singer to do it publicly? Was it an apology or an attempt to play the victim card in public to garner some attention? Or was it really his way to get his song finally in the film?!
Interestingly, this isn't the first time that Arijit's song has been chopped out from a Salman Khan film. We hear from our sources that Arijit was to sing a song in Salman's Bajrangi Bhaijaan. However, things didn't fall in place back then too and his song wasn't included in the movie.
We are still contemplating into what triggered Arijit to embroil himself into this controversy, but meanwhile we want to know from you guys as to what do you think of this public apology - Is Arijit right or wrong?
