The movie needs no introduction. One of the longest running movies in the Indian Film Industry, DDLJ was Aditya’s debut movie. Starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the lead roles, DDLJ is a favourite across all generations.

Mohabbatein

Mohabbatein was Aditya’s second directorial venture and it was the first movie in which Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan starred alongside each other. With spectacular performances, the movie was a big hit!

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi starred Shah Rukh Khan (once again) and Anushka Sharma in lead roles. Shah Rukh won accolades for his performance in the movie, especially for Surinder’s character. It was Anushka’s first movie and she also won many hearts for her performance.

Veer-Zaara

Veer Zaara is a love story directed by Yash Chopra but produced by Aditya Chopra. The Indian-Pakistani love story was absolutely beautiful and it was definitely Preity Zinta’s best performance till date. The movie also starred Aditya’s wife, Rani Mukherji. Band Baaja Baraat

Band Baaja Baraat starred Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh. Yes, Aditya introduced Ranveer to Indian cinema. While the movie wasn’t directed by Aditya, it was produced by him. The movie worked because of real performances by Anushka and Ranveer and of course, the well-knit story line.

Aditya also has a return birthday gift for us this year. His 4^th directorial venture, Befikre is going to release this year and it stars Ranveer and Vaani Kapoor in lead roles. Here’s wishing the romantic director a very happy birthday!
