Kareena-Shahid reunite after 10 years and ouch, they were tad too awkward!
This was the moment their fans have waited for nearly a decade. Right after Geet kissed Aditya and won him over with her spunkiness, one of Tinsel Town's most loved couples called it quits. Today, they are happily married - She is the Begum of Pataudi, a diva in her own right and probably the only female star who works on her own terms. He is recreating himself with every film. From 'whatahottiehottie' to Haider to rockstar Tommy, his career is on a high. And at the launch yesterday he announced that his wife of less than a year (Mira Rajput) is in the family way. But people didn't miss the awkward vibe between the ex-lovers.
The duo maintained a safe distance from each other. He seemed a little more comfortable, addressing her on a first name basis, but she was strangely aloof. The question of the evening came soon after, when someone asked them if they would ever collaborate for a Jab We Met sequel. "Well, banni hoti toh ban jati ab tak. What say Kareena...?" asked Shahid. Kareena added to it saying, "Well, you always have a DVD of the film available in any case." She made it clear that no future associations are happening between them.
All said and done, they will still be promoting this film together though they made it clear that they don't have a single scene together. When the star cast posed for the paparazzi, at one point Shahid and Kareena were left alone on stage as Alia stepped out to have a word with someone. Naturally, photographers hooted as their big moment was there to be captured. But Kareena carefully avoided being snapped without Alia and Diljit. Well, we all get the drift. Some wounds run deeper but the love stories that are destined to happen, do... Kareena met her Nawab and Shahid found his happily-ever-after with his baby wife Mira.
