Ouch! UK tabloid fails to recognize Deepika with Novac Djokovic, Social Media cracks up!

Deepika Padukone caught the attention of international media after she was snapped with tennis star Novak Djokovic in Los Angeles. However, to what looks like a grave error of omission or seriously very little understanding of Indian cinema, a UK-based tabloid failed to recognize Deepika.

As the pictures and news surfaced, the fans of the actress took to social media and, needless to say the Brit news agency had to face the wrath of the fans. While on one side, Deepika-holics couldn’t take this uncalled-for slur, the other side was abuzz with people cracking up on the issue.

Britain's The Daily Mail had published pictures of the Indian beauty and sportstar leaving a popular celebrity haunt together on Wednesday. Though the tabloid correctly identified Djokovic, they couldn’t spot Deepika, whose movie Bajirao Mastani was very well received in the UK.

After social media attacked the tabloid, they changed the news on their web portal. Well, that was expected. Don’t you think?
