More than falling in love, falling out of love seems easy for our Bollywood stars. Breakup and divorces news has been one constant thing we keep on hearing from the tinsel town folks.  Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Akhtar, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, and, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are the new ones on the list these days. However, here’s a list of relationships from tinsel vile that ended on quite unsavoury note in the past:

Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan

Hrithik and Sussanne’s journey from being one of the most adorable couples to most-controversial one had been quite tough. Filled with amazing highs and ghastly lows, their love saga started on a very sweet note. Being childhood sweethearts, they tied the knot with great pomp and show. Sadly enough, after 17 years of togetherness, the couple parted ways in 2014. Though they always stated that the reason for the divorce was mutual, insiders have a different tell-a-tale. It is believed that there had been an intruder in their holy matrimony that breached the trust factor between the couple. Friends and families tried to intervene but all in vain. Now, the couple is reportedly not in talking terms and tries avoiding bumping at each other at parties and events.

Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Salman and Aishwarya’s love blossomed on the sets of a movie. They were quite fond of each other until Salman’s dominating side took over their relationship. If we have to tag a break-up in Bollywood that was ugly and nasty it has to be Aishwarya and Salman’s. During their courtship days, Salman had often raised his hand upon the former Miss India and verbally abused her many times, in public and private. Fed of the torment, Aishwarya closed doors for Salman forever and now they do not see eye to eye at all. Calling such a relationship ‘nightmarish’ wouldn't be wrong!

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor

Kareena and Shahid indeed made a very fantastic couple. When together, the couple never shied away from PDA and we all loved it. Their chemistry, evident as it is in Jab We Met, was the talk of the town. But, Saif Ali Khan arrived as a storm in their lives and Bebo dumped Shahid. Now, both of them have moved in life and are enjoying quite blissful married life with their partners. Until recently, the former flames hadn’t been speaking to each other. But now, for the love of their fans and of course for a good script, they will be soon seen together in Udta Punjab.

John Abraham and Bipasha Basu

One of the hottest Jodi of B-Town that used to literally burn the screen with their chemistry ended on a bitter note too. Their separation news was quite a surprise to everyone. The exact reason for the breakup is still unknown. But, it was reportedly touted that either of them was cheating on their partner. We aren’t sure what to believe, as the couple never mentioned much about the reason for their failed relationship.  John and Bipasha had a shocking break-up a couple of years ago. Surprisingly, after leaving Bipasha, John went on to dating an investment banker Priya Runchal and married her soon after a brief dating period. And, we haven’t spotted or heard of Bips and John talking since then.

Karisma Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan

Karisma and Abhishek are both from the leading filmy families of the tinsel town. They started dating during one of their film’s shooting and had been quite vocal about their love and relationship. The duo also made it official with their families and had been engaged to each other. However, shocking it may sound, the Bachchans called off the engagement suddenly. And since then, the couple parted ways for good. Abhishek entered into a blissful wedlock with Aishwarya while Karisma is going through a turbulent phase in her marriage with Sunjay Kapoor.

Preity Zinta & Ness Wadia

The dimpled beauty and his uber cool businessman boyfriend were always in the news, pre and post their breakup! Preity and Ness started dating each other in 2005 and their openness about their relationship was really amazing. From walking hands in hand to attend Abhi-Aish wedding ceremony to throwing surprise bashes for each other; they really were much in love. In 2008, they bought an IPL team together. It was reported that Ness’ mother wasn’t happy with their courtship and often passed curt remarks about it in the media. But, the hell broke loose on their paradise, when Ness allegedly slapped Preity at a party. A few months after that incident, they parted ways. Another reason was also Ness’ dislike about Preity’s acting fervour. Well, all said and done, they make sure that they do not cross each other’s paths.

Vivek Oberoi and Aishwarya Rai

After breaking up with Salman, Aishwarya got into a relationship with Vivek Oberoi for a brief time, while they were shooting for a film. And this time too, Aish wasn’t too lucky in love. Being madly in love with the beauty queen, Vivek turned out to be an obsessive lover. In a love-madness haze, Vivek once called a press conference and abused Salman Khan for allegedly threatening Aish and him because of their affair. However, as the movie bombed at the box office, Aish left him. The ex-lovers have never spoken to each other and Aish moved on and settled with Abhishek.
