Farhan-Adhuna to Sanjay-Karisma: Shocking Splits that Rocked Bollywood

It was just a short while ago that Farhan Akhtar and his wife Adhuna issued a statement, clarifying that they had decided to go their separate ways after being married for nearly 16 years. Moreover, they added that the decision was taken in order to safeguard the interest of their children. The two had tied the knot in 2000 and have two children. Farhan-Adhuna had maintained a low profile over the years and all seemed to be fine between them. Perhaps that is why their split left many in a state of disbelief. Interestingly, over the years, B-town has been home to quite a few shocking breakups. Here is a look at some of the most talk-about splits of recent times.

Hrithik Roshan-Suzzane 

Hrithik and Suzzane who had tied the knot in 2000, were regarded as a proverbial power couple . The two looked like a match made in heaven courtesy their vivacious personalities and good looks. Moreover, they always shared a wonderful rapport at events, leading many to believe that they were pretty much in love. Perhaps that is why we were all taken aback when they parted ways in ways in 2013 and then divorced a year later. Interestingly, following the divorce, Suzzane was granted custody of their children Hreehan and Hridhaan.

Ranvir Shorey- Konkana

It was in 2010 that versatile actor Ranvir Shorey tied the knot with close friend and noted actress Konkana Sen Sharma during a low-key function. Shortly thereafter, the Omkara star gave birth to a boy in Mumbai and added a new dimension to their relationship. Surprisingly, this union did not last too long as merely five years after their marriage the two decided to go their separate ways and left their fans bewildered. Shortly after the split, Ranvir took the blame for whatever had happened.

Pulkit Samrat-Shweta Rohira

Countless movie buffs were left in a state of shock when Pulkit Samrat ended his nearly one year long relationship with wife Shweta Rohira in November 2015. The two had exchanged vows in 2014. Their wedding was held in Goa. Interestingly, Shweta considers  Salman Khan to be her brother and shares an excellent rapport with the star.

Raghu- sughandha: 

Last month, in a shocking development, it was revealed that Raghu Ram and his wife Sughandha had decided to end their relationship and move on  in life.  Needless, this shocked their loyal fans and left them searching for answers. Shortly thereafter, the Roadies creator explained that they had decided to file for divorce courtesy their incompatible lifestyles and schedules. Moreover, he added that they had parted on a good note and would always remain close friends.

Kalki-Anurag Kashyap 

Celebrated filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and noted actress Kalki filed for divorce in 2014. However, things were finalized nearly a year later. Interestingly, the two remain on cordial terms even after the breakup.

Karishma Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor

Raja Hindustani star Karishma kapoor filed for divorce from Sanjay Kapur in 2014. However, their divorce has not been finalized yet because various financial clashes. Moreover, there inability to decide the fate of the trust being setup for their children too played a big role in the delay.
