Come to think of it, Bollywood is just like any another business. Here our B-Town celebs have conflicting opinions like employees in any other business setup. Also, the industrywallahs are not averse to bitch about each other, and often end up giving statements which at times grab the eyeballs; for all the wrong reasons! So such statements when made by our celebrities actually make us wonder; what the hell were they thinking when they said that! Here are 20 such WTF statements in the year 2015, by our tinsel town celebs which not only sparked off controversies but gave us enough fodder to scratch our heads, looking for rational answers.  

Kangna's F**k Buddies Comment for BFF in Bollywood

Ms. Ranaut went a step ahead and gave us an attention grabbing statement during the promotions of Katti Batti. In an interview when Kangana was asked what do 'just good friends' mean, she professed, "When one says 'just good friends', it means they are f**k buddies." However, Kangana was quick to add, "In industry 'just good friends' means f**k buddies little promoted."

Ranbir to take DP's permission to get married

During Tamashaa’s promotions, Ranbir Kapoor was constantly questioned about when he plans to get hitched to his lady love, Katrina Kaif. When asked about it, Ranbir stated, "It’s a very big question about my life. I completely believe in the institution of marriage. When I will get married, I will let the whole world know about it." However, his co-star and good friend Deepika Padukone made the head turns when she interrupted and replied, "Ranbir can’t get married till I allow it…"

Kangana's Self-Proclaimed 'No.1 Actress' Tag for Herself

The bold Ms Ranaut never shied away from voicing her opinion. Post Queen phase, Kangana had bagged plum projects, and in during this period, she created quite a stir with her ‘No 1’ statement. Kangana quoted, "I started from 'B grade films' and today I’m the number one actress of this country... whereas other actresses, whom you might call my contemporaries, they have had no growth in whatever platform they were launched... they are still there and have not risen to another platform." 

The remark received lot flak from the industry, with actresses like Divya Dutta even openly reacting to the same.

When Anurag Basu said 'Salman Khan is Boring!' 

Director Anurag Basu raised quite a few eyebrows when the filmmaker, who shares a great bond with Ranbir Kapoor, spoke in the actor’s defence when he was going through a professional rough patch. Anurag said, "I am glad there is an actor like Ranbir who is taking the risk. There are not many actors, who would do it. He is not like Salman (Khan) who is doing same thing film after film. He is boring. How can you do that?"

Now that was big! Was it wise of him to compare Ranbir to Salman, one of the industry’s most bankable star? 

RGV Rants about Sridevi and her Thighs!

Ram Gopal Verma grabbed eyeballs in 2015 with his rants about Sridevi and her thighs. Apparently, RGV's book Guns and Thighs was inspired by her thighs from Himmatwala. Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor had later commented on this saying that RGV has gone bonkers and probably needs the publicity. However, that did not stop the filmmaker from carrying on. He wrote on Twitter, "My advice to Boney is to read my full article in "Guns and Thighs" on Srideviji before spewing venom on me. I as a fan have more respect for Srideviji than what Boney has for her as a wife. Srideviji's fame is not only because of her acting capacity but it's also because of her thundering thighs. If only acting talent is a measure for stardom then why wasn’t Smita Patil bigger than Srideviji..The thunder thighs made the difference. I respect Srideviji for her thighs, her smile, her acting talent, her sensitivity, her persona and above all I respect her love for Boney."

Sonam Kapoor on turning '30' : Comparing herself to Alia, Shraddha's Generation

When Sonam Kapoor turned 30 this year, she spoke about how she felt about turning 30, and how she didn’t like to hide her age unlike her colleagues. She stirred the hornet’s nest, quoting, “I have never lied about my age. Most of my contemporaries are of my age. Well, some of them are lying about their age. Except for Alia Bhatt - between Shraddha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Sonakshi Sinha and me, there must hardly be a difference of a year or two. Look at Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. I am talking about the generation before me! They are still in their prime. I don't think age matters anymore."

RGV-Anurag Basu's 'AAG' remarks post Bombay Velvet Debacle

Things were never hunky-dory between Anurag Kashyap and his one-time mentor Ram Gopal Varma. Soon after Kashyap co-wrote Satya for RGV the two fell out and bickered bitterly over Ram Gopal Varma’s much-condemned Sholay remake Aag.

At that time Kashyap had commented, “Ramuji has lost it all in Aag. I can’t see the Ramuji I used to know, at all now. I have stopped watching his films completely.” However, soon after Kashyap’s ambitious film Bombay Velvet opened to dismaying reviews and collections Ramu had tweeted, “Because I am 1st maker of AAG I think I have experience and right to lay them on a velvety cushion and console the future AAGIANS…..My velvety tears for the maker of a disaster like AAG are for the tragedy, that by being the butt of it, he himself doesn't get to fuck it….The bottom line is everyone makes an AAG and till he makes his own AAG he will bitch about others AAGS until he too burns in his own AAG.”

Abhijeet’s Tweets post Salman’s Conviction; comparing homeless people as DOGS who sleep on the roads!

Amidst media frenzy over Salman Khan’s verdict in the Mumbai sessions court in May 2015, singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya landed in a ‘WTF’ moment by posting a bizarre series of tweets. He posted, "Kutta road pe soyega kutte ki maut marega, roads garib ke baap ki nahi hai. I ws homles an year nvr slept on road.” Abhijeet later tried to justify his tweets saying these are direct translations from his thoughts in Hindi. And that, if the government were to block specific streets saying people sleep here, no one will die. However, he apologized for the tweet after facing severe backlash, and said, "I am sorry for the words I used."

Actor-singer Neil Nitin Mukesh became the butt of jokes when the news broke out that the actor has managed to bag a role in Game of Thrones! And much to our delight, Twitter lost its sleep over this path-breaking announcement, and trolled the actor with countless memes. However, there was never an official announcement from the actor’s end, and was considered a mere publicity gimmick before Neil’s film release.

Controversy queen Rakhi Sawant leaves no moment to give the most outrageous statements. And she managed to give another one, when she referred Indrani Mukherjea as her best friend! Indrani has been a convict in the high-profile, Sheena Bora’s murder case.  This happened during the launch of a film, Ek Kahani Julie Ki in which Rakhi will be seen essaying Indrani’s character. Rakhi said, “I would like to seek blessings of Ganpati Bappa for my best friend Indrani Mukerjea who is going through a rough patch of her life. Bappa will rescue her and protect from all the negativity which is surrounding her.” But one quick question! How and when did Rakhi and Indrani become besties? * 

Salim Khan on Spending 25 crores on Salman's Case in last 13 years!

On 10^th of December, 2015, seven months after a sessions court convicted and sentenced Salman Khan to five-years of imprisonment in May, the Bombay High Court absolved the actor of all charges in the case. Then, the actor’s father, renowned scriptwriter, Salim Khan said, "Everybody is happy. Every person who is close to Salman emotionally is happy. I am happy and relieved. People are saying he has just walked away. He has been in the jail for few days. He has spent over Rs 20-25 crores (on the case). Besides this, what about the tension that he and everyone went through all this time?" Quite a statement, ehh?

AIB roast garnered lot of negative publicity, and how! An FIR was lodged against Ranveer for kissing Deepika Padukone on the cheek during the AIB Knockout show. Apparently, the FIR registered only accused them engaging in obscenity. So much ho-haa for a small affectionate peck, WTF!

Abhijeet calling singer Ghulam Ali ‘Dengue Artist’ from Pakistan

Known for often giving the best WTF statements, Abhijeet landed in trouble once again last year when he made a series of shocking tweets about the cancelled gig of veteran Ghazal maestro, Ghulam Ali. He tweeted, "These shameless people have no self respect, no work except terrorism. So called Hindu political parties jst shout 4 mileage bt never tk action agnst these Dengu Artists from terrorist country. These qawwals don't come here on their merit but due to paki Dalals #prestitute and @MaheshNBhatt."

Ghulam Ali was scheduled to perform in Mumbai and Pune as part of the death anniversary tribute to singer Jagjit Singh. But the show in Mumbai was called off after the Shiv Sena threat. 

Vikas Bahl Quoting Shaandaar to be a Cult Classic after 6 Years!

Not success, but failure got to director Vikas Bahl’s head! Vikas was the talk-of-the-town with his acclaimed film, Queen. So post Queen, his next film Shaandaar was a much-anticipated one, from all quarters. The destination wedding film though, failed at the box-office.  However, Vikas was in no mood to write off Shaandaar. Apparently, the filmmaker believed in the film and knew it will catch up, six years down the line. He said, "The viewers didn't get the idea of the film right. However, after six years, this film will be remembered as a cult." 

A woman Committing Suicide post Aamir Khan’s 'intolerance' controversy

Now this is certainly weird! According to a report, a woman from Jabalpur named Sonal Pandey consumed poison because of a fight she had with her husband over Aamir Khan‘s intolerance remark. After taking such a drastic step, she was rushed to a hospital but unfortunately she died during treatment despite best efforts of the doctors!

Varun Dhawan saying Dilwale is like Inception and Rohit Shetty is Christopher Nolan! Lols...

Many eyebrows were raised when actor Varun Dhawan compared his forthcoming movie Dilwale to Christopher Nolan's critically acclaimed sci-fi blockbuster Inception. At the film's second song launch, when Varun was asked has it been a conscious move to keep the plot under wraps and not reveal much about the film through the trailer and its songs, a visibly excited Dhawan replied, "Have you seen Inception? Understood it? Liked it? Then you will like Dilwale. There is lot to our film. There is a plot, story and is logical and is a full on 2015 film which has lot of twists and turns."

While Inception is a 2010 brain-teasing Sci-Fi heist thriller, written-produced-directed by Nolan and Rohit Shetty directed Dilwale is a romantic-action comedy, one wonders the comparison being made between the two films. What was Varun exactly referring to? *Wonders*

Police Case against Karan, Arjun, Ranveer for AIB roast; Alleged for Ruining 'Women Image'

The AIB Knockout that featured Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Karan Johar went viral post its online release. But Akhilesh Tiwari (President of Brahmin Ekta Seva Sanstha) decided to lodge a complaint against AIB for “abusive language.” What were his reasons, well, here’s what he had to say. “I have given letter to Saki Naka police demanding a criminal complaint be lodged against these so-called youth icons Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. The show, which can be seen on YouTube and other websites, was extremely abusive and it is not only ruining the clean image of the Indian culture & women, but is also misleading today’s youth,” said Tiwari. This really made us think about what “clean image” Mr. Akhilesh is referring to; the one where women are getting raped or the one where we desperately need a Swachh Bharat?

Aditya Pancholi in Element, Screaming ‘Ganpati Bappa Moraya’ in the Court

Last year, Aditya Pancholi was arrested for allegedly assaulting a pub bouncer and behaving inappropriately when the DJ refused to play the songs of his choice. The actor shocked everyone with his demeanour in the courtroom during the case’s hearing. Reportedly, Aditya sang several songs and even screamed ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’ in front of the lawyers and inspectors. What’s more, he even misbehaved with a sub-inspector and mocked some of the lawyers, who were present. Apparently, he passed comments on their appearances and poked fun at them.

Salman Khan's Remark in Regard to his Former Girlfriend Katrina Kaif ; said 'She's of no use to me!'

In his appearance in the show Comedy Nights With Kapil, Salman saw Katrina's pictures on a packet of crackers and he told host Kapil, "She is of no use to you." Salman further added, "She was of no use to me also." Katrina was obviously upset with his remark and made him apologise.

Ajay Devgn's Diwali prank - Shoving Cracker in Someone’s A**!!

Ajay Devgn is known as a prankster on all his movies sets. But the actor‘s Diwali prank was just plain weird! He was literally shoving a firecracker up someone’s butt. No, I’m not kidding.
