As soon as Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh stepped out of the Mumbai airport, the couple was greeted by hundreds of fans who were patiently waiting since morning to catch a glimpse of the newly-wed couple. While Deepika and Ranveer were smilingly waving at the fans and shutterbugs, what followed next was inevitable. As always, fans mobbed the actors but at such a time, Ranveer alongside his husband duties, was the perfect bodyguard to wifey as he is seen protecting Deepika from the mob frenzy.

As soon as the couple stepped out of the airport, and before reaching their car, Deepika and Ranveer were visibly mobbed by the hundreds of fans. From keeping his hands all around Deepika, Ranveer did his best to be the protective guard against wife. Aww, we say!

After the couple left for Italy, first, DeepVeer got married in a four-hour long Konkani-Brahmin ritual and a day later, Deepika and Ranveer exchanged vows as per the Anand Karaj rituals. Post their arrival in Mumbai, the couple will leave for Bengaluru on November 20, 2018, as their reception is dated for November 21, 2018. The one in Bengaluru is on November 21 at The Leela Palace and the one in Mumbai is on November 28 at Grand Hyatt.
