After tying the knot in Lake Como, Italy, today, the newly-weds, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh returned to Mumbai. Ranveer and Deepika were papped at the Mumbai airport and as always, this power couple was all smiles and waved at the shutterbugs. See pictures!
After their dreamy Italian wedding, Ranveer Singh and wifey Deepika Padukone reached Mumbai airport today. Before this newly-wed couple was snapped at the Mumbai airport, Deepika and Ranveer were clicked at the Milan airport while getting their security check. But now that this gorgeous couple is back in the bay, Ranveer and Deepika will head to the groom’s residence for Griha Pravesh. Just while leaving for Italy, this Padmaavat couple was twinning in white and taking the twinning tradition forward, while returning from Italy, Deepika and Ranveer made sure they wore color-coordinated outfits.
While Deepika was wearing a beige ethnic suit- teamed with a red dupatta and some jewelry, Ranveer too was wearing a beige colored kurta pyjama with a red colored jacket, matching Deepika’s dupatta. Remember we told you that ahead of their wedding, Ranveer’s Mumbai residence was all lit up and decorated and now we hear that special arrangements have been made to welcome the Bhavnani bahu aka Deepika. According to reports, after reaching Mumbai, Deepika and Ranveer will straight head to Ranveer’s residence for the Griha Pravesh ceremony. For all those who don’t know, during griha pravesh, the bride is welcomed into the house by the mom-in-law, with an aarti. As per customs, the bride and in this case, Deepika Padukone will have to enter the house with her right foot first.

Before Deepika and Ranveer, Deepika’s crew comprising of stylist Shaleena Nathani, makeup artist Sandhya Shekar and hairstylist Gabriel Georgiou were snapped coming out of the airport. After the couple left for Italy, first, DeepVeer got married in a four-hour long Konkani-Brahmin ritual and a day later, Deepika and Ranveer exchanged vows according to the Anand Karaj ceremony. Post their arrival in Mumbai, the couple will leave for Bengaluru on November 20, 2018, as their reception is dated for November 21, 2018.
Deepika and Ranveer started dating each other on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram-Leela and after dating each other for six years, Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh took to social media to make an official announcement about their wedding. Now, after their dreamy wedding in Italy, the duo will be hosting two receptions- one in Bengaluru and one in Mumbai. The one in Bengaluru is on November 21 at The Leela Palace and the one in Mumbai is on November 28 at Grand Hyatt.
