EXCLUSIVE: Here's why Rohit Shetty is not attending Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's Italy wedding

Rohit Shetty was amongst the select few to be personally invited by Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh for their wedding in Italy. However, the Simmba and Chennai Express director will not be able to make it due to work commitments.

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are all set to enter marital bliss as they get hitched on November 14-15, 2018. The gorgeous couple, who have been together for six years, finally put an end to the wedding rumours and made a formal announcement on Twitter. The wedding will take place in Lake Como, Italy, and the venue is Villa del Balbianello. Amongst those invited from Bollywood are Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Farah Khan Kunder and Rohit Shetty.

Rohit Shetty has a special connection with both Deepika and Ranveer. While Deepika and Rohit collaborated in the super hit film, Chennai Express (2013), Ranveer has collaborated with Rohit in Simmba, which is slated to release on December 28, 2018. Rohit was personally invited by Rohit and Deepika and while he would have loved to be a part of DeepVeer's special day, the filmmaker will not be attending their wedding in Italy, owing to work commitments. A source revealed to Pinkvilla, "Rohit is currently busy with the post-production work of Simmba and shooting for Khatron Ke Khiladi. Hence, he will not be able to attend DeepVeer's wedding in Italy."

"However, Rohit will very much make his presence felt at the Mumbai reception, which is taking place on November 28, 2018," the source added.
