It’s finally happening and just like the million DeepVeer fans, we can’t contain our excitement. In few hours, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will walk down the aisle and officially be man and wife. But before they do so, we got our hands on an exciting piece of information and that being, during the engagement ceremony, Ranveer Singh went down on his knees for the hand of his lady love aka Deepika. Yes, just like all fairytale stories, Bajirao made sure he wooed his Mastani by going down on his knees and well, we don’t know about the guests at the function but this surely had us all excited. According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, after exchanging rings, Ranveer professed his love for Deepika and gave an emotional speech- after which Deepika got emotional and had an emotional breakdown. Well, knowing Ranveer, he immediately hugged Deepika and consoled her.
Yesterday, Deepika and Ranveer exchanged rings in the Konkani traditional ceremony- Phool Muddi and engagement ceremony. After exchanging rings in the presence of 40 people, the ring ceremony was followed by a formal sit-down dinner. Amidst all the dhol, music & dance, the Padukone and Bhavnani families along with their guests had a fun time dancing to Bollywood music and Ranveer Singh even sang a song for his lady love- Tune Maari Entry from the film Gunday. The mehendi and sangeet ceremony took place at the luxury resort CastaDiva by the picturesque Lake Como, Italy.
Today, the Padmaavat couple will tie the knot and the bride and groom will wear colour-coordinated outfits in the shades of white and gold. The wedding will be according to Konkani traditions. A guest from the venue told us, “Ranveer was in his element completely. His happiness was evident and he made sure that it is one of the most unforgettable events of his life. The handsome hunk with his energy was seen grooving to the dhol beats.” At the ring ceremony, the couple looked their stylish best as Deepika Padukone donned an off-white dress and Ranveer Singh donned a black suit.
As we all know, Deepika and Ranveer started dating each other on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram-Leela. Finally, after courting each other for almost six years, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will get married on November 14 and 15 in Italy. After their wedding, the duo will be hosting two receptions- one in Bengaluru and one in Mumbai. The one in Bengaluru is on November 21 at The Leela Palace and the one in Mumbai is on November 28 at Grand Hyatt.
