Deepika Padukone Ranveer Singh Sindhi Wedding: The shloka on Deepika's veil is inscribed in GOLD
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh tied the knot on November 14 and 15. While her outfit for the Sindhi wedding was beautiful, her veil had a lot of intricacies to it.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are now officially husband and wife post the wedding ceremonies on November 14 and November 15. While the day 1 of their wedding followed the Konkani rituals, the day 2 had followed all the traditional Sindhi rituals. The wedding ceremony, known as Anand Karaj in Sikh, included a makeshift Gurudwara at the Villa Del Balbianello and also a priest who was flown from Amritsar for the ceremony.
For the Sindhi wedding, bride Deepika was dressed in a pretty pink lehenga and one of the highlight of her wedding outfit was that chunri (veil) of hers which had 'Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava' inscribed on it in gold. The veil, as abiding the Sindhi traditions was gifted to Deepika by Singh's family. The wedding was a lavish affair followed by a twin party for the newlyweds and the guests.
Deepika and Ranveer shared pictures from the ceremony on social media last evening and the internet has been gushing all over them. While they only released two pictures, one from the Konkani and one from the Sindhi ceremony, we bet the fans and others are waiting for more.
The two are expected to return to India on November 18, 2018, and host three receptions for their family and B-Town colleagues. Two of the receptions will be held in Mumbai, while the other will take place in Bengaluru on November 21, 2018.
