Deepika Padukone Ranveer Singh Sindhi wedding: Harshdeep Kaur performs live during the Anand Karaj ceremony
After Shubha Mudgal's performance at the Konkan style wedding, Harshdeep Kaur performed live at the Anand Karaj of newlyweds Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got married on November 14 and 15, following both Konkani and Singhi traditions alike. While the ceremonies on November 14 followed the Konkani rituals including their outfits and the lunch, November 15 marked the beginning of the Sindhi ceremonies for the newlyweds. The Sindhi ceremony followed all the traditional rituals, right from Ranveer's entry with his baarat to the Anand Karaj.
During the Anand Karaj ceremony, singer Harshdeep Kaur performed live for the couple. Anand Karaj is the Sikh marriage ceremony, the meaning of which denotes a joyful union, or, a blissful union. Apart from the performance during the ceremony, an excited Ranveer Singh also danced to the melodies of the much revered Anil Kapoor, including the likes of My Name in Lakhan, Meri pant bhi sexy. The actor also had Govinda songs on his jukebox for the wedding ceremony.

The couple got married at Lake Como in Italy and the rituals for their wedding started off on November 13 with the mehendi and sangeet ceremony. The security at the Villa was strict and we did not get a single picture from any of the two's ceremony until they themselves shared them. The duo donned Sabyasachi outfits for their big day and looked like the perfect couple in the pictures that came in.
The two set everyone's heartbeats racing right from the moment they jetted off to Italy. Ever since, all that's been the talk of B-Town is what their marriage will be like and everything else that will follow. The newlyweds are expected to return on November 18, 2018, following which they will host the receptions in Bengaluru and Mumbai for all those who did not attend the wedding.
