Deepika Padukone Ranveer Singh Mumbai Reception: Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla reveal how her outfit was created
Deepika Padukone donned a Chikankari lehenga by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla for her wedding reception in Mumbai. The designers revealed how the outfit was created.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh looked royal at their wedding reception in Mumbai on November 28, 2018. The couple opted for colour-coordinated outfits, like their other wedding functions. DeepVeer stepped out for a photo-op before guests arrived at the reception venue. Deepika Padukone looked beautiful in an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla ensemble. She wore an ivory and gold chikankari lehenga with gold embroidered border which was teamed with a matching dupatta, wrapped around her body like a saree pallu. The dupatta was styled over her head and also served as a floor sweeping train.
Deepika accessorized her look with a gold and pearl necklace and chand baali earrings. Red sindoor and chooda completed her look. Designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla shared a video to reveal how Deepika’s Mumbai reception outfit was created. In the video shared by their official handle, the designers reveal that it took about 16000 man hours to create the outfit. “We have taken it a couple of notches up higher for her and so we decided to give her many drapes to carry. We even designed the jewellery for her specially,” the designers said.
Ranveer Singh opted for a Rohit Bal sherwani for the reception. The couple will be hosting a grand reception party on December 1, 2018. They have invited 1000-1200 guests for the reception on Saturday.
The couple got married on November 14 and 15 at Villa Del Balbianello at Lake Como in Italy. They wore Sabyasachi outfits for the wedding.
