Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding has been breaking the internet and setting social media on fire- one update at a time. Today, as soon as the newly-wed couple posted a series of pictures from their wedding- both Anand Karaj and Konkani ceremonies, while we were soaking in the beauty of the pictures, what really caught our unqualified attention was the stark similarity  between Deepika – the bride and Deepika- the Padmaavati. As most of you must have watched the film Padmaavat, don’t you think that Deepika looks like a real-life Padmaavati in these regal pictures?

Adorned in some exquisite jewelry from head-to-toe, Deepika looks as regal as her portrayal of Padmaavati in the film. From the exquisite jewelry to that nose-pin to the head-gear, there is such a stark similarity between Deepika’s bridal look and her role of Padmaavati in the film. Well, minus the uni-brow that Deepika sported in the film. And please don’t miss the royal Sabyasachi lehenga that Deepika is wearing in her wedding pictures and well, the Padmaavati lehenga was no less royal. In short, Deepika’s bridal look had us oohing and aahing over her.  

On Sunday, Deepika and Ranveer reached Mumbai and after greeting the fans at the airport, the newly-wed couple went straight to Ranveer’s residence for the Griha Pravesh ceremony. A day later, Ranveer and Deepika were again papped at the Mumbai airport as they were leaving for Bangalore. Deepika and Ranveer’s Bangalore reception will take place tomorrow i.e. November 21, 2018 at The Leela Palace. After the couple left for Italy, first, DeepVeer got married in a four-hour long Konkani-Brahmin ritual and a day later, Deepika and Ranveer exchanged vows according to the Anand Karaj ceremony.

Deepika and Ranveer started dating each other on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram-Leela and after dating each other for six years, Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh took to social media to make an official announcement about their wedding. Now, after their dreamy wedding in Italy, the duo will be hosting two receptions- one in Bengaluru and one in Mumbai
