The 28-year-old rapper and dancer, Moonbyul, debuted as a Mamamoo member in 2014 and started her solo career in 2018. She’s widely considered one of the rappers in the industry who spit fire with their rapping skills. Her last release was her first mini album titled Dark Side of The Moon with the lead track Eclipse. One of her most notable stages has been her performance of her solo Worthless, which showed not only her distinct rapping skills, but also the eloquent singing.
Today's heartwarming letter in our Dear Eonni series has been penned by Rajshri Mallya from India to Mamamoo’s Moonbyul. Read her letter below:
Dear Moonbyul-yi,
I still remember the day I encountered kpop very clearly. Let's just say that it was a beautiful accident. My two friends who became exol-s were desperately trying to drag me in their fandom.
But lazy me was not so interested. One day I accidentally stumbled upon a video of BTS,...needless to say that surely turned me into an army because of their music, but I was not satisfied.
I came across Mamamoo and I have been a die hard fan since then. Of course I love each of them but Moonbyul unnie has a special place in my heart.
She is the ideal I look up to. I just wanna be like her so much.
That dazzling charisma and tomboyish attitude makes her even more special. I am so glad I got to know Mamamoo. They are a unique group, trendsetters of kpop for me.
Moonbyul unnie's raps are so inspiring, makes me wanna become more worthy of meeting you guys.
If u read this unnie plz know that I love you. Even these magical words are too short to express my admiration for you.
I hope you know.
Love you all members of Mamamoo.
Rajshri Mallya from India
