Over the past few weeks, we've received letters from different parts of the globe addressed to numerous K-pop girl groups and their members. If you have been following the series, you would have seen letters addressed to members of Red Velvet, MAMAMOO and TWICE. Today, we feature a letter from a fan addressed to BLACKPINK. An Indian fan named Vedika Arora reveals how she turned her mom into a BLINK member.
Read her letter below:
Hello, this is Vedika Arora from India and I'm 12 years old. I have supported BlackPink since their song Whistle came out.
In India, K-POP wasn't as appreciated like in other countries. I faced Bullies just because of my preference in Music which was KPOP. However, I never stopped supporting them and now that I see them rising to such great heights, I am unbelievably happy.
People often think that as 7th grade students, we don't have much pressure but that is so very wrong. Especially during this time, studying is getting so tough because of all the online distractions. BlackPink's music really calms me down and let's me have peace of mind.
I am so grateful to them for releasing such soul touching music. Unfortunately, since I'm a young kid, I can't support them with actual money or anything which I really want to do.
I just wish that I can meet them once especially Lisa.
I love them all so much.
