MS Dhoni made himself unavailable for India's tour to West Indies that starts from August 3 as he decided to train with the Territorial Army instead. There were a lot of speculations about Dhoni's future after the World Cup 2019 semis loss against New Zealand, but his decision to skip the series has made life a little easier for the selectors, who only went with Rishabh Pant for the tour.

Earlier, the selectors had mentioned to sources, that Dhoni was not in the scheme of things as far as Indian cricket is concerned, and that they would not pick him if he did not retire. At 38 years of age, it is unlikely that he will play the next World Cup in 2023, and the team, then, wanted to groom youngsters in place of the wicket-keeper. Coincidentally, Dhoni skipped the series.

While his decision to train with the army was hailed by the Indians, former England cricketer David Lloyd poked fun at the decision. However, Twitteratis did not spare him, and trolled him heavily.

MS Dhoni will miss India's tour of the West Indies in August in order to serve with his army regiment.

I know it's a rhetoric question but..I had to write this..
