BTS' Suga makes a heartwarming donation to pediatric cancer patients on his birthday
The BTS member made a donation of 100 million Won to Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital.
It is no secret that BTS' star rapper-producer-songwriter, Suga aka Min Yoongi is a kind-hearted and generous man. Suga has a philanthropic heart and supports many charities and organisations, both individually and as a member of BTS. In 2018, he sent Korean beef to 39 orphanages as a way to keep the promise he had made to fans years ago, and in 2019, he donated 100 million won and 329 dolls under the name ARMY (official fan club name) to celebrate his birthday. Last year, Suga donated 100 million won to help the residents of his hometown, Daegu, from Coronavirus. Now for his 28th birthday, Suga has made another generous donation.
According to a report carried out by Newsen, On March 11, Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital shared that Suga donated 100 million won (approximately $87,980) to help treat pediatric cancer patients as a way to celebrate his 28th birthday. Suga, whose birthday was on March 9, shared, “I hope this donation will help children who are not receiving treatment due to difficult family circumstances so that they can grow healthy and bright.” The director of Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital, Mr Choi Ji Heum, expressed his sincere gratitude towards Suga's heartwarming donation and wished BTS members luck for their future endeavours.
BTS will be the first Korean act to perform a solo stage at the 63rd Grammy Awards. The septet is nominated in the Best Pop/Duo category, for their smash hit Dynamite. The 63rd Grammy Awards are slated to air on March 14.
