From BTS' Life Goes On to GOT7's Encore: 4 K pop music videos shot at home

What makes K-pop different from any other kind of music? Staggering sets, expensive budgets, extravagant cinematography, jaw-dropping, synchronised choreography and gorgeous idols creating and performing some magical music. Yes, all of the above is true, but what is also true is that K-pop stars are gifted artists, who can create music and magic, out of almost, anything! They don't always need fancy outfits or stylish makeup or even a dance routine to stand out, all they need is their amazing talent and genuine camaraderie with their members, and you are good to go!

From BTS' soothing Life Goes On, to GOT7's nostalgic Encore, NCT 127's foot-tapping Heartbreaker to finally, WayV's charming Let Me Love You. We present you four K-pop songs that were shot at home. Now Home is a broad term per se, what we mean is, shot at home, in their hotel room or their recording studio. Home isn't a place, it a feeling, it is where your heart is. Take a look at our top four picks and one honorary mention.

1. BTS - Life Goes On

BTS' music has given ARMY love, joy and comfort in testing times. Life Goes On, the lead single of BTS' is the fifth Korean language studio album, BE. Life Goes On is a synth-pop track that reminisces about friendship and togetherness and how things will fall into place, eventually. The MV has a homely vibe to it, where the members are dressed in their PJs, eating pizza together. They long to meet their fans, the situation is uncertain, but life goes on.

2. GOT7 - Encore

Who said, Home means a physical space or four walls? Home is a feeling, home is where the heart is and home can be wherever you want it to be. GOT7 members raise a toast to their friendship in this heartwarming & homely song. This is the group's first release since their departure from JYP Entertainment and arguably an outstanding ode to their illustrious legacy in showbiz.

3. NCT 127 - Heartbreaker Self-cam version

What runs in a K-pop group's veins is not blood, but pure chaos! Heartbreaker is the fourth track in the second mini-album Limitless. The song is a breath of fresh air, with a pop sound and refreshing vibe to it. The members are recording themselves singing, dancing and being their usual selves through their camera phones. Cute!

4. WayV - Let Me Love You

Following their brother group's footsteps, WayV members dropped the adorable, self-filmed music video for Let Me Love You. The song has a cute, valentine like vibe, with the members giving off the 'handsome boyfriend waiting for you at home' kind of feels! A charming song peppered with sweet lyrics.

Honorary mention :

5. BTS - Spine Breaker

BTS members' first music video produced under Jin Hit Entertainment! BTS members decided to direct and produce this special music video, all by themselves in their hotel room. Bangtan's prodigal son, RM directed, J-Hope co-director, dance director Jin, camera Jungkook, Suga was in charge of food, Jimin of luggage and Tae as emotional support. The music video is what defines BTS, the method in the madness!
