ARMYs are still heartbroken over BTS losing out on the coveted Grammy trophy, but we have a bit of news to cheer you up. According to Melon's data, On March 14, Jimin's solo song Filter, from their fourth studio album, Map Of The Soul:7, surpassed 115 million streams on Melon! It has set the record as the first and only Korean solo song by an idol group to achieve such a feat.
As of March 14, Filter has gained an overwhelming 115 million streams and 2.1 million unique listeners. That's not all, previously Filter has been named the highest solo song by a boy group and BTS’s highest solo song on the Melon Yearly Chart. Filter also set a record as the first song from Map Of The Soul: 7 album to surpass 100,000 likes on Melon which the song accomplished in only 8 days after its release! Congratulations to Jimin.
Filter released on February 21, 2020, and appears as the eighth track in their fourth studio album Map of the Soul: 7. Filter has a sensuous, Latin vibe and Jimin's angelic vocals uplift the song to newer heights. Jimin performed Filter on BTS' online concert, Map Of The Soul- ON: E. BTS members performed their smash-hit pop-disco track, Dynamite at the 63rd Grammy Awards. Dynamite was also nominated in the Best pop/duo category, but unfortunately, BTS didn't win the coveted trophy. However, BTS hosted an OT7 V-live to thank their beloved fans for being so supportive of them. They also called ARMY their greatest prize.
