BTS' Indonesian ARMY raise funds to plant and maintain mangroves in the honour of Jimin's birthday
BTS member Jimin celebrates his birthday on October 13. Ahead of Mochi's birthday, BTS' Indonesian ARMY raise funds to plant and maintain mangroves in one portion of the country.
The BTS ARMY leaves no stone unturned to make their OT7's birthdays a memorable affair. Every year, the fandom engrossed in philanthropic activities, making the world a better place. With Jimin's birthday coming next week, BTS' Indonesian ARMY organised a fundraiser recently to plant and maintain mangroves in Bedono Village, Kabupaten Demak, Central Java. According to AllKPop, the organisers revealed that over 250 families were shifted from the "Sinking Village" Bedono Village due to the increasing water level in Morosari hamlet of the village.
Due to the mangrove forest clearance, the coastal area has been eroded. This led the country's ARMY members to plant a restoration. The campaign began from September 25 and lasted up to October 4. The team began by inviting funds with the project titled "1000 Trees for BTS Jimin". By the end of the project, about 8,735 trees were collected. That's a massive achievement!
A number of fans took to Twitter and shared photos from the campaign. Take a look:
