BTS ARMY CRASH Vlive and YouTube on the occasion of Hobi's birthday celebrations

Happy Birthday, J-Hope! Bangtan's dancer-rapper turns 27 years old today (28 years in Korean age). Hobi celebrated his birthday with ARMY, by hosting a special live session to interact and spend time with fans. ARMY, of course, reciprocated the love in abundance and crashed the twin SNS platforms, Vlive and YouTube. The internet flooded with hashtags like 'Happy Birthday Sunshine', 'Happy Hobi Day', 'For Our Hope World', to honour the BTS star.

A day prior to his birthday, he posted a handsome selca of himself on Weverse announcing, that he will be hosting a live broadcast on his birthday at 11 pm on VLive. "Tonight at 11 P.M. I’ll do a [live broadcast] after a while. Let’s have fun. See you soon!" Hobi hadn't anticipated his live broadcast would become such a huge hit! His first attempt at the live failed due to technical reasons. He re-started the Vlive again when the app crashed due to the overwhelming response from the fans. Hobi even posted a message on Weverse enquiring about the status of the SNS platform crashing. He finally, managed to host the much-awaited birthday live on Bangtan's official YouTube channel.  

Hobi finally greeted ARMY on YouTube. He played some music and cut his birthday cake with ARMY. He even sang a birthday song. He proceeded to give ARMY a virtual tour of his studio. He showed the septet's framed Dynamite's Billboard Hot 100 poster and sent a virtual hug to ARMY around the world too. That's not all, he even answered some fun questions from ARMY like - 'Would you rather have a 5-year-old Jungkook or 5 Jungkooks?' J-Hope chose a five-year-old Jungkook over multiple Jungkook.

Hobi is also a philanthropist at heart. According to Newsen, via choi_bts2, J-Hope has made a generous donation of KRW 150M (USD136K) on his birthday for differently-abled children to Green Umbrella child fund organisation. This donation will be used for the education and facilities for the betterment of deaf children.
