January 18, 2019, will see four different genres of films releasing at the box office - Emraan Hashmi’s Why Cheat India, Govinda’s Rangeela Raja, Radhika Apte’s Bombairiya and Arshad Warsi’s Fraud Saiyaan. All the films have their own uniqueness and moviegoers are in for a delight as they are getting to choose between four different films. They can cater to their movie taste and go for whatever film they think is best for Friday or the coming weekend. Emraan Hashmi’s Why Cheat India is one of the films which has been appreciated for the content they have shown in the trailer. Emraan’s acting is surely an icing for the cake.
It’s a brilliant time when movies with content can make their space. Content is truly the king and audience is accepting the change with their wide open arms. Emraan Hashmi plays Rakesh Singh, a conman, who runs an entrance examination racket in Lucknow in Why Cheat India. The movie will show us the reality of the education system. We got in touch with Trade Analyst Girish Johar to know his take on the day 1 prediction. He told us the movie will earn around Rs 3-4 crores on its opening day.
“Emraan Hashmi is a fabulous actor we all know and he is coming with Why Cheat India at a time when people are appreciating films with content. I am very confident with his mass appeal, Emraan Hashmi's film should do well. First of all, the trailer is also being appreciated and however they are promoting the film, I feel they are doing it well. The film should do well at the box office and it should have an opening of around Rs 3-4 crores on day 1. It's not a hardcore commercial film. It's a reality-based film and it gives the ground reality of what's happening within our education system. Emraan Hashmi also has a good following across the country and that would be beneficial for the film,” said Girish.
Talking about the film, Emraan had earlier said that he is sure that every student and the youth will definitely relate to the subject. In an era marked by the success of content alone, he is excited to be essaying a character which he believes will be a landmark one in my filmography.
