URI Box Office Collection Day 7: Vicky Kaushal starrer remains triumphant at the box office

Uri Box Office Collection Day 7: Vicky Kaushal ruled 2018 with his performances in Sanju and Raazi. The actor has kickstarted 2019 on a good note. His latest release, Uri: The Surgical Strike, has hit the screens and is doing well at the box office. The movie earned Rs 7.40 crores on Thursday at the domestic market. In total, the film’s collection stands at Rs 70.94 crores. The movie is based on the surgical strikes which were carried out by the Indian Army in 2016.
Besides Vicky Kaushal, the film also features Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, Kirti Kulhari and debutante Mohit Raina. The film has been directed by Aditya Dhar and it has been produced by Ronnie Screwvala. Uri: The Surgical Strike has surpassed the collections of Vijay Ratnakar Gutte's The Accidental Prime Minister, which is based on the life of former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh, at the box office.

After a successful opening of Uri, Vicky, at an event, said, “Till the film is released, you don't have an idea if it is going to work. But since yesterday, the kind of reaction we have received is really overwhelming. It's a surreal feeling that the audience has accepted our film with open arms."
