URI Box Office Collection Day 13: Vicky Kaushal starrer all set to cross Badhaai Ho at the domestic market

URI Box Office Collection Day 13: Vicky Kaushal’s film URI: The Surgical Strikes has struck the right chord with the audiences and we can’t deny it. Vicky Kaushal emerged as a bonafide star of 2018 courtesy his performances in Sanju and Raazi. The actor has already kickstarted 2019 with a bang. The film has been on a winning streak, ever since it hit the theatres on January 11, 2019. On Wednesday, the film collected Rs 6 crores more and with this, it now stands at Rs 128.28 crores.

The film will cross the lifetime collections of Rajkummar Rao’s Stree (Rs 130 crores) and Ayushmann Khurrana’s Badhaai Ho (Rs 134 crores). The film is based on the 2016 Surgical Strikes conducted by the Indian Army against the Pakistani terror launchpads across the LoC. Vicky Kaushal starrer URI: The Surgical Strike entered the Rs 100-crore club within just 10 days of its release. The film also stars Yami Gautam, Mohit Raina and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles. 

After the successful opening of URI, Vicky, at an event, said, “Till the film is released, you don't have an idea if it is going to work. But since yesterday, the kind of reaction we have received is really overwhelming. It's a surreal feeling that the audience has accepted our film with open arms."
