URI Box Office Collection Day 12: Uri: The Surgical Strike, currently in its second week, is unstoppable at the box office. The film stars Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Mohit Raina and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles. The film is based on the 2016 Surgical Strikes conducted by the Indian Army against the Pakistani terror launchpads across the LoC. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#UriTheSurgicalStrike is winning hearts and wooing BO with josh... This one’s an audience-favourite and also BO-favourite... [Week 2] Fri 7.70 cr, Sat 13.35 cr, Sun 17.17 cr, Mon 6.82 cr, Tue 6.30 cr. Total: ₹ 122.59 cr. India biz... #Uri #HowsTheJosh.”

Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike entered the Rs 100-crore club within just 10 days of its release. Now, it is all set to surpass the lifetime collections of Alia Bhatt’s Raazi (Rs 123.84 crores). The film has been directed by Aditya Dhar and it has been produced by Ronnie Screwvala. Uri: The Surgical Strike has also surpassed its competitor, Vijay Ratnakar Gutte's The Accidental Prime Minister, which is based on the life of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, at the box office.

After a successful opening of URI, Vicky, at an event, said, “Till the film is released, you don't have an idea if it is going to work. But since yesterday, the kind of reaction we have received is really overwhelming. It's a surreal feeling that the audience has accepted our film with open arms."
