Thugs of Hindostan Box Office Occupancy Report: Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan's film gets a bumper opening

Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan have teamed up for the first time in Vijay Krishna Acharya's latest directorial titled Thugs of Hindostan. The film also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh as the female lead and Katrina Kaif in a pivotal role. Thugs of Hindostan has turned out to be the most expensive film of India, as per reports in Box Office India with a budget of around Rs 260 crore. The period film has got about 65-70% of occupancy report which is the highest this year.

The film has got a bumper opening and people have been rushing to the theatres to watch the two biggest superstars of the country work together for the first time. As per reports in Box Office India, Thugs of Hindostan will also be receiving Rs 145 crore box office collections from the neighbouring country China. With Thugs of Hindostan, the film has turned out to be the eighth biggest opening for Aamir and it's his 45th release in his career of more than three decades.

The other seven films of Aamir which have received bumper openings are Dil (1990), Ishq (1997), Mela (2000), Fanaa (2006), Ghajini (2008), 3 idiots (2009) and Dhoom 3 (2013). Out of these films, Ghajini, 3 Idiots and Thugs of Hindostan have been holiday releases.

Box Office India also reported that Thugs of Hindostan have received Rs 150 crore from satellite and digital rights.
