Simmba Box Office Weekend Collection: Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan's film is a hit at the ticket windows

Simmba, starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles, is enjoying the smooth run at the box office. The film has been appreciated by both the audience and critics alike. Ranveer and Sara’s performances are the talking point as everyone appreciated their chemistry and many fans want to see this pair again on the big screen. They both were lively onscreen and offscreen. The Rohit Shetty directorial has become Ranveer’s highest opener. Padmaavat, which released earlier this year, had earned Rs 19 crore on the first day of its release.
The collections on Sunday were record-breaking as it earned around Rs 31 crore at the domestic market, according to Box Office India. In total, the film has minted Rs 75 crore at the box office. The film will also get the benefit of 31st December 2018 and 1st January 2019. As there is no big film in the first two weeks, Simmba will cash in that period too. The film revolves around the central character, a corrupt cop Sangram Bhalerao, played by Ranveer, and how after a tragic event he chooses the right path.

Thanking Rohit Shetty for the film’s success, Ranveer Singh had said the record-breaking opening of Simmba is for the entire team to cherish and he thanked Rohit for believing in him and trusting that he can do his masala cop film convincingly.
The film also stars Sonu Sood, Siddharth Jadhav and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles. This is the first time Ranveer and Rohit have collaborated for a film. Simmba also marks the first collaboration between Karan Johar and Rohit.
