Simmba Box Office Collection Day 2: Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan’s film shows a great jump
The audience has given a thumbs up to Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan's on-screen chemistry in Simmba. It has showed an upward trend in box office collections on day 2.
Simmba, starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles, has off to a flying start. The film has been appreciated by both the audience and critics alike. Ranveer and Sara are enjoying the success and love that has already been pouring on them for their performances. The film, on its opening day in India, earned a whopping amount Rs 20.50 crore at the box office. On day 2, according to Box Office India, the film earned around Rs 23.50 crore. In total, she raked in Rs 44 crore at the box office. Some called it a ‘paisa vasool’ entertainer and some called it ‘regressive’. But, the film has been appreciated for the mass appeal.
The audience has given a thumbs up to Ranveer and Sara Ali Khan's on-screen chemistry. Reportedly, the film is the biggest Ranveer Singh opening ever. This year belongs to Ranveer as he started the year on a strong note with portraying Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat. He ended on an equally strong note with Simmba. Ranveer has a crazy fan following and people have loved him in this avatar. The film revolves around the central character, a corrupt cop Sangram Bhalerao, played by Ranveer, and how after a tragic event he chooses the right path.
Simmba has got a benefit of next two weeks with no big release around the corner. It also got an advantage as Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero did not create the buzz as it was expected and the moviegoers are now enjoying the masala entertainment that Simmba has.
The film also stars Sonu Sood, Siddharth Jadhav and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles. This is the first time Ranveer and Rohit have collaborated for a film. Simmba also marks the first collaboration between Karan Johar and Rohit.
Ajay Devgn has a special appearance and will reprise his role as Bajirao Singham while Akshay Kumar will be seen as Inspector Suryavanshi in the film.
