Simmba Box Office Collection Day 12: Ranveer Singh starrer hits a double century

Simmba Box Office Collection Day 12: Ranveer Singh and Sara Alia Khan’s film is unstoppable at the box office and is continuing to register cash at the domestic market. Simmba has emerged as the third highest opener of 2018. Ever since its release, Simmba has been breaking the box office records. Now, the movie is a part of 200 crore club. On Tuesday, Simmba earned Rs 6.03 crore at the domestic market. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “And #Simmba roars louder with a DOUBLE CENTURY... Hits ₹ 200 cr mark... Shows solid hold on weekdays, which indicates it won’t slow down soon... [Week 2] Fri 9.02 cr, Sat 13.32 cr, Sun 17.49 cr, Mon 6.16 cr, Tue 6.03 cr. Total: ₹ 202.83 cr. India biz.” 

Ranveer's Simmba has surpassed the first week collections of Salman Khan's Race 3 and Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan. The plot of the film revolves around ACP Sangram Bhalerao aka Simmba which is essayed by Ranveer and how an incident changes his life upside down. The film is also Rohit Shetty’s eighth consecutive release to enter the Rs 100 crore club.

It is loosely based on the 2015 Telugu hit Temper and it hit the screens on December 28, 2018. It opened to mixed response from the critics, but the viewers loved the performances of the lead stars. 

The film also stars Siddharth Jadhav and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles. The film also sees cameo appearances from Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and the Golmaal team.
