Sanju Box Office Collection: Ranbir Kapoor's film crosses 200-crore mark worldwide in its 1st weekend
Sanju, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, has hit just the right chord with the audience and at the box office too. It's unstoppable at both Indian and the worldwide market.
Sanju, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, has hit just the right chord with the audience and at the box office too. It's unstoppable at the domestic market. After becoming the biggest opener of 2018, it has become the highest weekend grosser of 2018. On Sunday, Sanju raked in Rs 46.71 crore, taking its total collection to Rs 120.06 crore.
But, this is NOT it. Even in worldwide market, the film is doing fireworks. Sanju has crossed the 200 crore mark worldwide in its first weekend. With this BIG win, the film has become the third film in history to do after Sultan and Bahubali - The Conclusion.
The top opening weekend collections worldwide are as follows:
1. Sultan - Rs 210.12 crore
2. Bahubali: The Conclusion - Rs 209.68 crore
3. Sanju - Rs 202 crore apprx
4. Dangal - Rs 198.64 crore
5. Dhoom 3 - Rs 194.30 crore
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Sanju has become the seventh film to enter the Rs 100-crore club this year, after Padmaavat, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Raid, Baaghi 2, Raazi and Race 3.
Lauding Ranbir’s performance, Sanjay Dutt had said, "Ranbir (Kapoor) is extraordinary in the film. I think the film is fantastic and Raju ji (Rajkumar Hirani), Vicky Kaushal, and everybody has done a fantastic job. Whatever is the truth, has been shown in the film."
Sanju also stars Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
