Panipat Box Office Collection Day 2: Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon & Sanjay Dutt's film fails to lock numbers

Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt starrer magnum opus Panipat saw a dull start at the ticket window. The Ashutosh Gowariker directorial opened with a mere collection of 4.25 crore nett on its day 1. The poor start comes as a shock to the makers of the historical drama. Being a big-budget film with lavish costumes, VFX, big sets and props, the opening figure does not seem like good news for the team.

After a dull start, the day 2 collection was the only hope for a strong revival but a small collection of 6 crore nett seems to do no good for the film. As per the numbers, Panipat has shown a 50% raise at the ticket window but it hardly contributes to the earnings as the opening day went uneventful itself. It seems difficult for the film to sustain on the screens over the coming weeks. With numbers as small as days 1 and 2, Panipat stands with a total collection of 10 crore nett in two days.

Despite a star cast encompassing Arjun, Kriti and Sanjay Dutt, the film seems to be failing at the ticket window. The film also stars a bunch of talented actors such as Mohnish Bahl, Kunal Kapoor, Shah Nawab, and others. It also marks the comeback of veteran actresses Padmini Kolhapure and Zeenat Aman on the silver screen after years, but sadly, nothing seems to be working in the film's favour.

The nett collections on the first two days have been quite bland. Considering the low earnings, only a miracle can help the film to bounce back on Sunday.
