Pagalpanti Box Office Prediction Day 1: Anil Kapoor, John Abraham & Arshad Warsi starrer expected to open BIG
Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Ileana D'Cruz, Arshad Warsi, Urvashi Rautela, Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda and Saurabh Shukla starrer Pagalpanti is set to release this weekend. While reviews are awaited, the movie is already expected to open with a good box office collection on its Day 1.
Brace yourself for some Pagalpanti this weekend. The Anees Bazmee directorial is all set to release in cinemas this weekend. The comedy film boasts of an epic star-studded ensemble which includes Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Ileana D'Cruz, Arshad Warsi, Urvashi Rautela, Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda and Saurabh Shukla. The trailers have tickled the audience's funny bone and the songs are slowly climbing up the music charts thus revealing the movie has a good buzz among moviegoers. While the reviews are not out yet, the box office predictions will definitely bring a smile on the cast and director's faces.
Trade analyst Girish Johar tells Pinkvilla that Pagalpanti is expected to record a good opening day collection. He says that the buzz for the movie is really good and the ensemble has the capability to draw the audiences to the theatres. "It is a family, no brainer comedy which the entire family can watch. So the excitement levels are pretty good. Since it is an ensemble backed by Anil, John, Pulkit, Arshad, and it is directed by Anees, who is a master of these ensemble comedies, so I am expecting a good start at the box office," he reveals.
Johar feels Pagalpanti would open to a great Rs 9 to 10 crore. He notes that the reviews and word of mouth will impact the movie over the weekend. Johar also adds that unlike last weekend, where Bala put up a good show against Marjaavaan, Pagalpanti might not face any kind of competition from Ayushmann Khurrana and Sidharth Malhotra. "Bala and Marjaavaan were completely different movies. Marjaavaan was targetted towards the masses of the country, whereas Bala was more multiplexes," Johar explains, adding that the two movies will not affect the business of Pagalpanti.
