Padmaavat Box Office Collection: Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film stays rock solid at the domestic market
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat starring Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh finally hit the screens on January 25, this year, after a few jerks. Despite all the controversies, the film is doing well at the box office.

It passed has passed all the litmus test possible to emerge as the winner at the box office. The film has earned INR 176.5 crore in nine days of its release.
When Sanjay Leela Bhansali was asked about how the film continues to go through a lot of strife, he told a leading daily, "There are creative angels who come and bless such films. There is some divine energy that says this is the way it should be. It is fascinating to go with the flow. If you are supposed to face the attacks or these kinds of protests that we have gone through, it’s a part of the film’s destiny."
He added, "All I can say is that it just makes you stronger and wants you to make the movie better. When your whole being is at stake and you feel that you are going to perish, you give the thing on hand your best shot. Then things unfold in a way. So, from January 27, 2017, when we were attacked in Jaipur to January 25 this year when the film released, it has been one whole year of strife. I cannot describe all that my team and I went through."
Deepika Padukone played the titular role and Ranveer was seen as Alauddin Khilji. Shahid, who essayed the role of Maharawal Ratan Singh in the movie, finally got an entry into the 100-crore club.
