Oh Baby Box Office Collection: Samantha Akkineni outperforms four new releases in its second weekend
Ninu Veedani Needani Nene aka NVNN, Dorasaani, Market Lo Prajaswamyam and Rajdoot released over the weekend. However, Samantha Akkineni's Oh Baby performed better than the new releases.
Four movies released over the weekend gone by in Tollywood. The Telugu audience were treated to Sundeep Kishan's Ninu Veedani Needani Nene aka NVNN, Anand Deverakonda and Shivathmika’s Dorasaani, R Narayana Murthy’s Market Lo Prajaswamyam and Rajdoot. While all the four movies battled against each other over their debut weekend, Samantha Akkineni stood strong at the box office with her "Oh Baby." The July 5th release opened with good reviews and it has been going strong in the second weekend as well.
As per the Telugu Cinema, the Samantha movie has outperformed all the new releases over the weekend. The film is likely to cross Rs 15 Crore on the worldwide front. In the US alone, the movie had recorded a box office collection of $875K in its second-week run. Oh Baby has also registered a great jump in collections over the weekend in India as well.
Meanwhile, NVNN is likely to earn its break-even by the end of the first week given its low-budget, which is good news for Sundeep Kishan. While it could be some relief from the domestic front, Ninu Veedani Needani Nene hasn't performed well in the US. The movie has been deemed flop in the USA with a merely $17k gross collection.
Meanwhile, the most-talked-about movie Dorasaani failed to draw viewers to the theatres. Despite the hype, the movie is yet to witness a great turn out. Overseas, the movie recorded a collection of $11k in the opening weekend. Rajdoot and Market Lo Prajaswamyam did not have any takers.
