Manmarziyaan Box Office Collection Day 5: Abhishek, Taapsee and Vicky's film slows down at the domestic market

Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal's unconventional and modern love triangle Manmarziyaan released last Friday. The film opened to mixed reviews. The film is directed by Anurag Kashyap. Manmarziyaan was one of the much-awaited films of 2018 as it not only marked Abhishek Bachchan's comeback after 2 years but was the first time Anurag has directed a love story. The story of the movie is set in Punjab and the film fairly shows the small town essence of the state.

As reported by Box Office India, on its first day of release, Manmarziyaan made a collection of 3.25 crore approximately. On the second and third day, the collection was 4.75 crore and 5.75 crore approximately. Considering the festive season and the buzz around the film, it was expected to make a good collection. On Monday, this Abhishek starrer collected around 2 crore, a fair collection. However, on Tuesday, i.e the fifth-day box office collection of Manmarziyaan dropped visibly to Rs 1.75 crores. With Tuesday's collection being Rs 1.75 crore approx, the total collection of this Kashyap's film is Rs 17.50 crore approximately.

Manmarziyaan released along with Mitron and Love Sonia. Both the films aren't doing a good business. So comparatively, Manmarziyaan is performing better at the domestic market. With Manto and Batti Gul Meter Chalu release in the upcoming Friday, it would be interesting to see how Manmarziyaan makes it big at the box office.
